EFFECT OF ROLLING TENSION STRESS ON NATURAL FREQUENCIES OF CIRCULAR SAW

Abstract: Based upon the elastic/plastic bending equation of free vibration of thin plate, FEM model of the circular saw which can be simplied as constrained circular plate is presented with the consideration of the memberance stress. The effect of the rolling tension stress on the natural frequencies of the circular saw is discussed and the criterion to evaluate its dynamic behaviour is proposed. The results obtained by the computer simulation is verified through experiment.
