Abstract: The problem on the fixed velocity ratio control of mechanical systems with dual AC motordrives is investigated theoretically and experimentally. A tracking control strategy and a variable structure feedforward complex control approach is presented, and the constitution of a fixed velocity ratio control system is introduced. The results of simulation and experiment indicate that this method has rubostness and a performace of fast-tracking, and the control system has a high ability of frustrating disturbance and better reliability. This investigation will have a universal suitability and applicable value for the fixed velocity ratio control of engineering machineries.
