MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT MODELLING BASED ON OBJECT-ORIENTED AND STEP TECHNOLOGY

Abstract: The research on manufacturing environment (ME) information model is a new field of CIMS. The information of ME contains production organization and control structures manufacturing resource, and manufacturing capabities of the enterprise. The information in ME is integrated resource that sub-system of CIMS need to share in every phase of the product. Because there is large amount of information in ME which is complex data type. Traditional information modeling methodology can’t really describe the information of ME. The environment of object-oriented (O-O) technology provides base of information modeling theory and method. This paper synthesized STEP and O-O technology to establish ME model. It not only supports the development of the architecture that bases on data model, but alao helps to standardization of information exchange and consistence information expression in CIMS.
