Abstract: The design and behaviour of sliding bearings used in self lubricating system are discussed. The design better solved some problems in design of sliding bearings such as selection of material, composite ways, structure of porous layer and constituent design of self lubricating layer. Adopting new design can effective improve load carryting capacity, limiting Pv value, wear resistance and service life at high temperature of self lubricating bearings. The test results showed that the SPF self lubricating bearings have superior in some performances to DU bearings.
