Abstract: Knowledge information characteristics and human function in manufacturing are discussed. The emphasis was put on the descriptions of knowledge information in product design phase and manufacturing process. Finally, taking manual assembly as an example, the importance of human function in generating and processing of knowledge information was illustrated.
