Abstract: A new method of design and manufacturing for pinion cutter to shape helical gear with a special profile is developed. According to profile of the pinion cutter the profiles of the grinding-wheel are calculated with numerial simulation method, moreover, conventional calculation can be done to check its correct or not. The tests have proved, the method is feasible for shaping helical gear with a special profile.
