Abstract: In this paper, the cellular growth of Sn-5%Bi alloy in direct electric field was examined. The experimental results show that the electric field increases the stability of cellular growth, changes the morphology of cellular growth and remarkable decreases the cell spacings. The mechanism of the mentioned results produced by the electric field is studied.
