Abstract: A theoretic analysis is provided for the teeth-shape of the magnetic-fluid seal by Schwarz-Christoffel transformation. The concepts of pressure factor, eccentric factor and multiteeth factor are proposed in this paper. And also, the influence of the tooth-shape on these factors is discussed. The result of this paper provide a theoretic basis for the design of the structure of magnetic-fluid seal.
