Abstract: This Paper introduces the BLOK flash temperature and the optimum design of the anti scoring loadcarrying capacity of gears, and thus obtains the equal anti-scoring equilibrium temperature Tf1=Tf2 curve(various gear teeth totalled 215), which can be used to choose anti scoring design optimum correction factors and therefore to make the desirable design not only possible but also much reasonable. In addition, this article has further developed a Simplfied method for calculating the flash tempe rature Tf as follows:T f=A·g m·C where A=4.6 Gm -the equal anti-scoring geometry factor, the value of which is given in the new closed chart C -the effect factor for gearworking, the value of which is obtained through the formula shown here in this article The method above has made the calculation of the BLOK flash temperature much simpler and can obtain as accurate results as a computer does. Some examples are given in the end of this paper, telling the way both, of choosing the correction factors by using the equilibium temperature curve closed chart and of calculating the flash temperature by using the simplified formula.
