Abstract: This paper presents the experimental results & investigations of authors on the influences of the surface-finish -& the tool-lip parameters of the metalcutting tools, the cutting fluid & the built-up edge on the obtained surface-finish of the work of medium carbon steel under extra-fine finishing metal-cutting process. The solution of this problem is beneficial for the selection of the reasonable surface-finish & the reasonable tool-lip parameters of the metalcutting. Tool in the finishing & semi-finishing operations of metal-cutting process.
