Abstract: The permanent magnetic levitation belt conveyor is a new type of continuous transportation equipment with low resistance and low energy consumption, and its transverse vibration is one of the main factors restricting the system stability improvement. In order to study the transverse vibration mechanism in depth, this paper adopts the approach of equating the permanent magnetic levitation belt conveyor to a beam model with mass-spring-damping support, and establishes a transverse vibration model based on Kelvin-Voigt viscoelasticity theory, and at the same time, adopts the Galerkin truncation method and Newmark-β algorithm to solve the model. In addition, this paper selects the transverse vibration variation of permanent magnetic levitation rollers as the core of the study of transverse vibration of permanent magnetic levitation belt conveyor, and analyzes through numerical simulation to explore the transverse vibration response under the initial conditions, the influence of different working condition parameters, and the transverse vibration characteristics of the excitation of the material during the stable operation. The simulation results show that: under the initial conditions, the transverse vibration of permanent magnetic levitation rollers presents periodic characteristics, the amplitude increases gradually with time, and resonance occurs in the low frequency range; the increase of conveyor belt speed exacerbates the transverse vibration of permanent magnetic levitation rollers, while the increase of acceleration and tension can effectively reduce its transverse vibration; under the action of the material excitation, the permanent magnetic levitation rollers exhibit significant vibration isolation characteristics. In order to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical model, the experimental platform of permanent magnetic levitation belt conveyor is built for experimental verification. And through the design of comparative experiments, the lateral vibration of the conveyor belt is selected as the evaluation index, and the effects of magnetic levitation rollers and traditional rollers on the lateral vibration of the conveyor belt are analyzed under different working conditions. The results of the comparative experiments show that compared with the traditional rollers, the permanent magnetic levitation rollers effectively reduce the transverse vibration of the conveyor belt under low speed and heavy load conditions. The results provide a reference for the analysis of transverse vibration of permanent magnetic levitation belt conveyor.
