Abstract: Aiming at energy-efficient hybrid flow shop scheduling problem(EHFSP) with batch processing machines (BPM) in casting process, a feedback-based artificial bee colony(FABC) is proposed to simultaneously minimize makespan, total tardiness and total energy consumption. In FABC, a new cooperation between two employed bee swarms and three search cases: employed bee phase and onlooker bee phase or employed bee phase and cooperation or employed bee phase are implemented, and feedback mechanism established by evolution quality and adaptive threshold is used to dynamically determine which search case is executed on each generation. New scout phase and reassignment operator are designed. A number of experiments are conducted to test the performance of FABC, and the computational results show that FABC has strong advantages on the considered EHFSP.
