Design of Deployable Antenna of Double-loop Hexahedron Truss

Abstract: Deployable principle of the double-loop deployable truss antenna is analyzed. The vibrated frequency of the fully deployable structure is calculated. It is illustrated that this structure had strong stiffness. The dynamic analysis of the deployable process is built. In additional, it is optimal designed that driving devices of the deployment, node, driving style and link bar, etc. The model is established. The experiment results indicate that the models can deployable frequently, thus the feasibility of the device is verified. On the basis of the contrast tests of the analysis, deployable antenna of the double-loop truss antenna possesses the property of the simple form, higher shrinkage ratio and strong stiffness. It is verified the structure can deploy smoothly under driving of torsional spring and motor cable force, and it can be used as an effective support of deployable antenna.
