Abstract: To realize the reasonable arrangement of the ventilation grille of the closed equipment cabin of the anti-sand-type EMU, the aerodynamic model of the high-speed train, including the ventilation grille and the cabin equipment is established. The CFD method is used to simulate the flow field of the equipment cabin during the operation of the high-speed train, and the influence of grille layout on the ventilation performance of the equipment cabin is analyzed. The results show that the ventilation performance of the grille is mainly affected by the pressure on the outside of the skirt at the position where the grille is arranged. The position near No. 1 ends of the skirt plate of the head car is suitable to arrange the outlet grille, and the position near the No. 2 ends of the skirt plate of the head car is suitable to arrange the inlet grille. The position near the No. 1 ends of the skirt plate of the middle car is suitable to arrange the outlet grille, and the other region is suitable to arrange the inlet grille. The middle region of the skirt plate of the tail car is suitable to arrange the inlet grille, and the two ends of the skirt plate are suitable to arrange the outlet grille. Besides, the outlet at the bottom of the equipment cabin also has a certain influence on the air intake performance of the grille near it, and the grille intake resistance of the fan in the equipment cabin is less affected by the train speed. In the design stage, the suitable grille layout scheme can be determined qualitatively by using the relationship between the grille position on the skirt plate and the intake and exhaust performance of the grille.
