Abstract: Research on the aerodynamic change law of high-low speed EMU bogies under different cross wind speed are carried out. Research results provide theoretical basis for the design of EMU adaptive bogies of running across lines. A three-dimensional model is established, and a hybrid mesh is generated. The k-epsilon double-equation turbulence model is used for steady-state calculations and Large Eddy Simulation is used for unsteady-state calculations. The accuracy is verified by wind tunnel test. Coupling vehicle speed and wind speed, based on the above simulation algorithm, it is concluded that change law of drag and the lateral force of each bogie is basically consistent; the effect of EMU speed on the drag of bogies is greater than that of cross wind speed; the drag of bogies of the intermediate vehicle are relatively large; the effect of cross wind speed on the lateral force of the bogie is greater than that of EMU speed; the lateral force of the tail car bogies are significantly larger, and the lateral running stability are the worst; the vertical force law of bogies 1 and 6 are similar, and law of bogies 2 to 5 are similar.
