A NEW RIGID-PLASTIC VARIATIONAL PRINCIPLE AND FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

Abstract: In this paper, we revised Mises constitutive equation for rigid-plastic deformation and recommended a new yield strength model. Based on this assumption a new rigid-plastic varational principle and the strictly functional minimum theorem and the theorem on single stationary solution were derived, and the relative finite element method was obtained, and the cold extrusion process of truck type nut has been simulated by computer.
