Abstract: In this paper the complex FOURIER coefficient method is researched to solve the dynamic questions of a gear system. The period stiffness and error are expressed by the repeat function. The dynamic stress of a gear, the dynamic force on the bearing and the vibration acceleration can be predicted. With the method, the frequence characteristics of a gear system are understood. The solution from the calculation coincides with the results from the experiment.
