Abstract: A semi-active static output feedback variable structure control strategy for the vibration attenuation is presented based on the fact that for multi-object electro-rheological damper vibration suppression system, all state variables is hardly to measure real time, there are always uncertainty external disturbance, the perturbation of parameters often appear and the damping performance of damper is controlled continuously. To implement the complete external disturbance decoupling control, the sliding surface gradient parameters are chosen according to the reduced order sliding mode motion Hurwitz stability criterion. The limit of electro-rheological damper damping is incorporated into the controller. The optimal vibration attenuation of main object is guaranteed due to the control rule that damping force only dissipates the vibrating energy of main object. The external disturbance self-adaptability of the vibration suppression control system, the system parameter robustness of the control method and the vibration attenuation effectiveness are all demonstrated by numerical simulation results. Simulations results indicate that the performance of the semi-active static output feedback variable structure control strategy is remarkable.
