Abstract: Sound field separation technique with single holographic plane is proposed, which breaks the limitations of near-field acoustic holography (NAH) and broadband acoustic holography from intensity measurement (BAHIM). The limitation of them is: sound field on one side of holographic plane must be free field, that is to say all the sound sources must confine to the other side; but it is not easily to access on industrial measurements. The technique proposed builds the sound field separation formula in wave number domain according to the superposition of particle velocity theorem and Euler equation in wave number domain, then the sound pressure caused by sources on one side of holographic plane can be obtained as expected by taking inverse two-dimensional Fourier transform of this formula. The derivation of the principle shows the correctness of the technique, and the numerical simulations demonstrate its feasibility and effecti- veness.
