MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE LOAD VIBRATION-SWAY ON FIXED TYPE TOWER CRANES

Abstract: The vibration and sway of the load in a fixed type tower crane makes it difficult for the load to take its place accurately, and brings the toppling moment and the running torque of shock for a whole tower crane. In the paper the authors set up the cacurate mathematical model of the load vibration-sway on fixed type tower cranes. A simplified model are derived in the engineering range. This mathematical model can be used as means for studying the dynamic characteristic of fixed type tower cranes, increasing the load vibration-sway, and improving the function of fixed type tower cranes. Especially the accurate mathematical model is suitable for a computer simulation.
