Abstract: Jet vacuum ejectors currently used have a defect of large air consumption. To solve this problem, a new type of jet vacuum ejector with flow self-regulation is presented. In the new type of vacuum ejector, magnetic actuating and vacuum feedback adaptive control are used, by which the air input is regulated through adjusting the nozzle’s effective cross-section so as to reduce the air consumption and meet its rapid response requirement. On this basis, the pneumatic kinetic models of vacuum ejector are proposed and put into simulation. Then, the affection of elastic coefficient of the spring on the working characteristics of the new vacuum ejector is investigated, which could provide the theoretical basis for the optimization of the new ejector. Experimental results have shown that this new type of vacuum ejector not only saves air consumption but has a quick vacuum response speed.
