Abstract: Different series of corrugated sleeves are designed and produced and the working characteristics are tested. Based on the ring shell theory, plastic theory, corrugated sleeve’s math mechanics model is proposed, the theoretical working characteristics are calculated and numerical simulation is proceeded through ANSYS. Both of theory result and simulation result are consistent with the experiment result. The research of theory and experiment reveals the quantitative working characteristics of corrugated sleeve and the influencing rule of the geometric parameters. When the maximal diameter doesn’t change, the slope of elastic curve and press of the plastic yielding point increase gradually as radius of corrugation part is increasing. When the radius of corrugation part doesn’t change, the slope of elastic curve and press of the plastic yielding point reduce gradually as maximal diameter is increasing. The research founds an important basis to establish the design method and spur similar products to be applied in engineering practice on a large scale.
