Abstract: In reference [1] the concept of lower order critical speeds was defined, and resonance-phenomenon of a mechanism discussed. In this paper an experimental, numerical, and analytical investigation on the phenomenon is presented. A physical, and mathematical explanation is given, and some conclusions different from those in [1] are drawn.
