KINEMATIC EQUATIONS FOR A VIRTUAL AXIS DRILL POINT GRINDER

Abstract: The basic structure of a virtual axis drill point grinder is expressed by spatial vectors. Based on the grinding parameters of a conical drill point, kinematic equations for the grinding operation are developed via vector-matrix transformation. This in turn results in the leg vectors of the machine, which can be used for controlling the movement of the machine.
