Abstract: Industrial production system must inevitably face with random fluctuations of the various environmental factors during the operation. The fluctuations may cause the system performance degradation to the system failure. The environmental factors of the operation system are researched as objects. Environmental factors and environmentally sensitive system are described. The system performances are analyzed with the environmental stress factors such as the temperature, the humidity, the vibration and so on. Then the environmental stress response model for the environmentally sensitive system is presented. The system performance reduces into a potential fault condition under the environmental stress. The model monitors environmental factors by the sensors and constructs a transcription factor array and a corresponding state enzyme array based on the monitoring data. The transcription factor array controls the environmental repair program while the state enzyme array controls the degree. Then the model prevents the potential failure turning to the functional failure and ensures the system performance during the normal operation. Through simulating the air separation process, it verifies that the model is effective.
