Abstract: There is a certain degree difference between the static and operation condition for the high-speed spindle system. Therefore, large errors will be leaded to if predicting the stability of spindle system used the frequency response function (FRF) of tool tip which are gotten from static state. On the basis of introducing the modeling method of finite element for the spindle system, a high-speed spindle system is modeled and its nature characteristics and FRF of tool tip are solved, when the spindle system is in static, low and high rotate state. Corresponding to the three conditions, nature characteristics and FRF of tool tip are compared. The results show that, at low speed state, the dynamics of the spindle system is the same as stationary state, and in high speed conditions, the dynamics is quite different with the static state. It can also provide a reference to analyze dynamics and stability for similar spindle system.
