Abstract: In the study on self-excited vibration which is caused by slipping in rolling mills working, it is considered that the moving slipping frictional coefficient is random and the coulpe has clearance. According to these, anew generalized Lienard equation with clearance and random coefficients is derived. And the algorithm of the equation is provided. The conclution is consistent with mill practice. It can be used to diagnosis the causes of rolling mill's failure. It has important practice sence in the rolling mill's designing and working.
