ANALYSIS OF RESIDUAL STRESSES IN ALTERNATE MULTIPOINT FORMING OF SHEET METAL

Abstract

Abstract: An approximate method suitable for the stresses analysis in sheet metal alternate forming is presented, based on elastic plastic bending theory of cure plate. The formulations to calculate residual stresses is given and the residual stresses in alternate pure bedding of plate strip is analyzed by the presented method. The result shows that if the loading path is chosen properly, the residual stresses will be reduced obviously.
