OPTIMAL DESIGN OF THE CYLINDRICAL WORM DRIVE WITH DOUBLE CIRCULR ARCS TOOTH PROFILE

Abstract: Based on the meshing priaciples, the strength and lubrication theory, this paper investigated the optimal design of the cylindrical worm drive with double circular arcs tooth profile. The results of which meet the actual situation and principles of chosing meshing parameters are reasonable decided. Not only theorial basis of series design of this kind of worm drive is offered, but also the worm pairs optimated may be applied to production.
