Abstract: Traction rolling characteristic of nylon composites reinforced with ZnOw is measured with self-made traction rolling friction tester. The contact behavior between nylon composites and 45 steel is analyzed by using Hertz theory. The effect of viscoelastic properties on coefficient of traction is analyzed on the basis of visco elasticity model of composites. The results show that the coefficients of traction of composites linearly increase with slip ratio and reach to the maximum when slip ratio is between 5% and 15%, and then gradually decrease and tend to leaveling off. The creep characteristic of composites is affected by the content of ZnOw and normal pressure. Visco elasticity of composites had little effect on coefficient of traction. The coefficient of traction is mainly determined by the adhesive friction between composites and 45 steel rollers. The variation of coefficients of traction against slip ratio obeys the traction model with a large slip ratio.
