Abstract: In order to realize digitized/networked/integrated manufacture of automotive carling, the advanced manufacture technology for automotive carling is studied. A method based on the axiomatic design principles and the finite element solution is used to unfold the 3D numerical model of automotive carling to 2D process drawing, so as to replace the traditional production method which only can use 2D design drawing to unfold to 2D process drawing. Based on the Agent design of distributed networked manufacturing mode, the design, 3D numerical model unfolding, NC programming, NC cutting, NC punching and manufacturing data management of automotive carling are fully integrated in the CAD/CAE/CAM/MDM system. The system has higher manufacturing efficiency and more advanced features than the distributed numerical control integration mode. This study successfully realizes the advanced manufacturing of automotive carling with the features of digitized networked product design, paperless production, advanced management of manufacturing data and NC machine production.
