Grouping Parallel Scan Path Generating Method of Metal Laser Deposition Shaping

Abstract: The essential reason of over-cladding and under-cladding problem are indicated through analyzing both those existing parallel scan mode and the characteristic of metal laser deposition shape. A new kind of grouping parallel scan path generating method is presented based on recognizing and judging extreme point profiled contour. The method of increasing scan line based on recognizing extreme points of offset profiled contour is adopted when scan filling lines are generated according to the set scan space, avoid boundary defects of shaping layer because of scan space error, and ensure shaping part which has a consistent machining allowance. Grouping parallel scan path is generated through optimizing to group and connect filling lines based on judging the dubiety of between the related extreme point and transition line, avoid improper transition line. Practical application shows that the scan path can effectively enhance both t shaping layer smoothness and fabrication quality, ensure to shape successfully.
