Abstract: An active control structure using piezoelectric actuator is built to suppress vibration due to internal incentive in gear transmission. Because the gear system is time-invariant and unknown, an offline modeling technique is unable to track the changes in the secondary path, an adaptive filter algorithm using online secondary path modeling method is proposed to the active vibration control. A control block using the above-mentioned algorithm is built in Simulink, and then the control algorithm is downloaded to dSPACE as controller. An offline modeling is used to decide the order of the secondary path, and then active vibration control experiment with online modeling is performed. The experiment results show that the amplitude of house vibration attenuates at most 21 dB at different fundamental frequency, the vibration in the target frequency is almost completely be reduced. Because of out-of-band overshoot that is caused by too large of a step size, the vibration amplitude around 300-350 Hz is amplified.
