Abstract: Cushion is a key problem to develop high-speed pneumatic cylinder. Through studying the cushion course of high-speed cylinder the piston velocity rebound during the stable phase is found. The main course of this problem is analyzed and the cushion system is designed which includes cushion valve with an unchangeable chamber and overfalling valve and exhaust valve. Experimental and simulation results prove that this cushion system can solve this problem effectively and has enough automatic adaptation ability for piston speed change.
