Abstract: The micro-mechanical constitutive model is introduced to develop an integrated numerical analyzing model based on excellent exoteric language interface of MSC. Marc program under gravity load qualified to simulate draping and buckling of woven fabric. The micro-mechanical constitutive model reveals mechanical properties of woven fabric owing to its micro-woven structure more elaborately than orthotropic continuum model that present researchers do. The draping and buckling of woven fabric are simulated with the large deformation curved shell element based on the micro-constitutive model of woven fabric. The important effect of compress module on the buckling analysis and simulation of dynamic deformation process is analyzed. The results show that precision of the draping and buckling simulation is improved evidently because of the micro-constitutive model. The investigation sets up the theory and technique basis for the fitting system in the dress CAD.
