Sensitivity Analysis of the Pose Error of Machine Tool

Abstract: To control the machine precision effectively with reasonable cost, a strategy of controlling the pose precision of machine tool is proposed by expanding the connotation of the sensitive direction of processing error. The key to realizing this strategy is to identify the sensitive errors of machine. Taking the YK3610 hobber as an example, the modeling method of combining multi-body system theory with transformation of homogeneous coordinates is introduced. The method, step and key point of identifying the sensitive errors of machine are described with this model. The demonstration shows that it is feasible to identify these sensitive errors among numerous machine error sources and these analysis results can enhance the efficiency of error prevention and error compensation.
