Abstract: The approach on gearing transmission efficiency had been studied. A new calculating method of gear-pair meshing efficiency is presented based on analysis of the gear-pair actual meshing transmission process. To educe the function of efficiency about gear-pair meshing point position in gears transmission, and to prove the function is continuous in meshing zone. So, gear-pair meshing efficiency is defined based on midpoint’s principle of continuous function integrating, it’s average efficiency of gearing transmission in meshing zone. With integrating forms of meshing function for internal gears and external gears, calculating formula of involute gears transmission meshing efficiency is achieved. The formula is availability with both theoretic and large numerical value tests.
