Abstract: With the increasing development of aviation engines and the continuous increase of combustion chamber flame temperature, resin based composite materials widely used in cold end components of aviation engines face more severe oxidation and ablation environments. Preparing anti oxidation and ablation coatings on the surface of resin based composite materials is an effective and feasible response strategy. Among various coating schemes and systems, the multi-layer structure system with the characteristics of heat insulation, oxidation resistance, stress buffering, etc. has attracted wide attention. In this study, Al/NiCoCrAl/YSZ three-layer structure coating is proposed, and YSZ is modified by phenolic resin and SiO2, the modified composite powder is prepared by spray granulation, and coating samples are prepared on the surface of carbon fiber reinforced polyimide matrix composites by atmospheric plasma spraying. Under ablation conditions of oxyacetylene combustion with a heat flux density of 100 J/(m2·s), the modified coating with a phenolic resin content of 6wt.% has the best protective effect. The line ablation rate and mass ablation rate of the sample are 4.42×10-4 mm/s and 9×10-6 g/s, respectively.
