Research Progress on Forward Design of Gas Turbine

Abstract: Gas turbine is a complex product of multidisciplinary coupling, which is known as the Pearl in the crown of equipment manufacturing industry. Forward design is the key technology of gas turbine research and development. At present, gas turbine forward design systems are established by only a few energy equipment giants such as GE, Siemens and MHI, but these enterprises regard forward design as the key core technology and do not disclose it to the public. The forward design of gas turbine should meet the market demand of energy saving, environmental protection and low emission, and have the design features of high temperature, high pressure, high efficiency, high reliability, low cost in the whole life cycle, intelligent operation and maintenance. The characteristics of the latest gas turbine design products of the mainstream international gas turbine manufacturers are analyzed. The forward design matrix of gas turbine is constructed. The current situation of the forward design system of gas turbine from five dimensions of design task, design technology, design software, design criteria and design integration are analyzed. The development directions of forward design technology of gas turbine are summarized and prospected.
