Abstract: A modified lumped parameter model is developed to describe amplitude-dependence dynamic characteristics on semi-active engine mount and to improve prediction accuracy of conventional lumped parameter model. Dynamic test is carried out to obtain experimental date on amplitude-dependence dynamic characteristic of semi-active engine mount and main rubber. The lumped parameters are identified by using genetic algorithm(GA) method when semi-active engine mount is operating in soft and hard mode respectively. In this way, some important lumped parameters depending on amplitude are found. These parameters include dynamic stiffness of main rubber and resistance in inertia track and so on. Furthermore, power exponential function and two polynomial response surface method are used to feature amplitude-dependence dynamic characteristic of main rubber and liquid resistance in inertia track. Finally, a modified lumped parameter model is established. The proposed modified lumped parameter model can predict amplitude-dependence dynamic characteristic of semi-active engine mount under different state(soft or hard)accurately. The mechanism of amplitude-dependence dynamic characteristic on semi-active engine mount is investigated and presented.
