Abstract: With the use of electroosmotic flow as the driving fluid, electroosmotic micro-pump has a wide applications in micro-electronic-mechanical system (MEMS), medical transport and bio-chemical synthesize in the recent years by the virtue of no moving parts, low noise, and simple construction. Mathematical models are set up for the electroosmotic pump. The meshless algorithm is used to solve the Laplace equation, Poisson-Boltzmann equation and Navier-Stokes equations. Microflow of liquids in the micro-pump with complex geometrical shapes and with large ζ potential is analyzed. More attention is paid on the control of the back-pressure in electroosmotic flow pump through designing the external voltage and ζ potential.
