Abstract: On the basis of previous dynamic models of grinding process, new model is build up in which some factors re introduced as follows; 1) the contact damp between wheel and workpiece is introduced into grinding process; 2) the model is considered as the parametric model of grinding states; 3) its characteristic equation is solved by using the method of linearization step by step. And then some problems in measuring several parameters in the dynamic model such as the transfer function of machine tool structure and the wheel wear are discussed. At last it is shown that the computer simulation of grinding process coincides with the experimental results and the model is effective and correct for analyzing grinding process.
