Mean Stream Line Method for Solving Potential Flow in Axisymmetric Annular Passages-Some Development of Mean Stream Line Method

Abstract: Three sets of formulas of mean stream line method used for solving potential flow in axisymmetric annular passages are presented. The general axisymmetric smooth annular passage of different types of turbomachinery can be designed and calculated very rapidly by this method. Even though with a slide rule or a portable computer it is capable of designing an annular passage for compressible fluid flow within 10 hours.
