Abstract: The dead load crown of VC roll is discussed by Krannov’s function and accomplished the dead load experiment. The theory calculation coincides with test result. The construction parameters of the thickness of roll sleeve, the length of the oil gap, the crown of roll are discussed in theory. The fundamental principle of the determining of construction parameters is put forward. The conclusions provide theoretical basis for applying VC roll.
