ANALYSIS OF LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY UNDER CONSIDERATION OF FLOW INERTIA AND CENTRIFUGAL INERTIA FOR SPHERICAL HYDROSTATIC THRUST BEARING

Abstract: In this paper, the analytical calculation expressions of the pressure distribution, discharge of the flow and load-bearing capacity for the spherical hydrostatic thrust bearing are found by employing the Navier-Stokes equations in spherical coordinates and using, the method of iterative approximate solution when the flow inertia and centrifugal inertia are taken into consideration. Furthermore, using these expressions, we can directly obtain the correspondent calculation expressions for the hydrostatic thrust bearing of the disks.
