RESEARCH ON VOLUMETRIC ERROR IDENTIFICATION OF GUIDE

Abstract: The error identification of 6-DOF motion system is a complicated and time-consuming job. To identify the volumetric error of three guides accurately and effectively, a new identification method is put forward and its elementary principle is discussed. Based on the error model of guide and movement relation between adjacent bodies of multi-bodies, this method can confirm all twenty-one volumetric error of three guides rapidly and accurately by measuring displacement error subjected to ten beelines of simulation area. What’s more, this method shortens the time of error identification only by displacement measuring equipment and is an effective method in 6-DOF simulation system even in 9-DOF simulation system. The analysis result is proved to be correct through experiment.
