EQUILIBRIUM PERFORMANCE OF RUBBER HOSE ELBOW SUBJECTED TO INNER PRESSURE

Abstract: On the base of the analysis for the stress of rubber hose elbow subjected to inner pressure and the spiraled geometry of its framework cords, the general formulation of neutral angle of its framework cords is derived, and the control equation of spiraled angle of the framework cords is yielded. The theoretical analysis and experimental results indicate that when the spiraled angle of its framework cords in rubber hose elbow is approach to neutral angle, the deformation of hose as a result of inner pressure is small, that is, its equilibrium performance is good.
