STUDY ON BENDING STRESS OF DOUBLE INVOLUTE GEAR WITH LADDER SHAPE TEETH BY FEM

Abstract: Design method for DIGLST (double involute gear with ladder shape teeth) having the equal bending stress is adduced, and the matching relationship between ladder factors y and l’ is optimized by FEM, and the choice table and empirical formula for ladder factors design are also provided. Arithmetic optimizing model is constructed for gear transmission with equal strength. The arithmetic for bending stress of DIGLST is presented after the coefficients of helix angle and contact lines are analyzed by 3-D FEM.
