Abstract: Based on the three-dimensional equation of non-steady heat conduction with boundary conditions, this paper calculates the temperature field of continuous cast slab in crystallizer by boundary element mothod. According to the carboa content in steel, the thickness of solidified layer of the slabs in crystallizer and at its exit can be ascertained by means of the calculated temperature field.
