Abstract: As controllable smart material, magnetorheological(MR) fluid has gained its extensive applications in vibration mitigation and vehicle suspensions. MR fluid exhibits the increment of yielding shear stress in the presence of magnetic field, which is the so-called MR effect. Magnetorheological effect Bingham modeling is conducted with the consideration of magnetic field. The axis-symmetric annular flow of MR fluid and the force of MR effect are researched with different excitation current, shear rate, gap width and viscosity.
